Nintendo has revealed the new name of the highly-anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and also the long-awaited release date. Now it's called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A new trailer (watch above) shows few details of the game, but gives the release date: May 12th, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
According to an official statement from Nintendo, in addition to Hyrule, the player will have the possibility to explore other maps in the sky and beyond. To help, structures were shown that can be used as transport. Link will also be able to jump from high above these sky territories, which is a bit reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
In addition to snippets of the story, new parts of the map were also shown.
We even have the cover of the game:

Now, with a date set, it remains to be seen what new details Nintendo is expected to reveal about Link's arm, which appears to have some sort of evil power, about how time travel affects gameplay, and more. But we just have to wait until May 2023.
